The Javits Center hosted the annual New York Boat Show Thursday.

A wide range of boats, from 50-foot yachts to 8-foot kayaks, were on display.

With many waterfront communities ravaged by Hurricane Sandy, dealers are looking to help boaters get back out to sea.

"Obviously, a lot of boats got damaged or completely destroyed from the mishap of Sandy, so those people, we're hoping they're going to replace it and stay in the boating lifestyle," said John Pritko, the show's manager.

"We've got a lot of incentives that we've gotten from the factories to help us help them," said Dick Curry of Staten Island Yacht Sales. "The trade-in values today on certain boats are being increased because of the lack of pre-owned inventories."

The New York Boat Show runs now through Sunday.

Tickets are $15 for adults.

Kids 15 and younger get in free when accompanied by an adult.
