A collection of children's author Maurice Sendak's work will be auctioned off in the city later this month.

Swann Auction Galleries will hold the auction on January 24.

Many of the pieces are signed by the late writer and illustrator, who died in May.

One of the highlight pieces is a first edition of "Where the Wild Things Are," which is expected to sell for between $7,000 and $15,000.

The auction will also include works by Dr. Seuss, Beatrix Potter and others.
