Officials at the Metropolitan Museum of Art say more than a million people have visited their galleries of Islamic art since they reopened a little over a year ago.
The galleries were reinstalled in November 2011, following a major expansion and renovation.
Museum officials say a little more than 2,500 people a day have dropped by to see the collection, which is spread throughout 15 galleries and spans 1,300 years.
That is 14 percent of the Met's total attendance during that period.
