Police released surveillance video of the January 6 attack at the West 157th Street station in Washington Heights.

They said the three suspects approached a 25-year-old man and told him they wanted his jacket.

Police said the men then began to hit and kick him, with one suspect beating the victim with nunchucks.

The victim was able to get away and was treated at a hospital for cuts on his head.

Each suspect is described as being between 17 and 19 years old, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.
