The family of the emotionally-disturbed man who fell to his death after being Tasered by police announced today a $10 million lawsuit against the city, the New York City Police Department, and the officers involved.

In September, Iman Morales was out on the ledge of a building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, naked, and jabbing at police with a long fluorescent bulb when police fired the stun gun.

The 50,000-volt shock caused him to fall 10 feet to his death.

Morales' mother charges that the police could have brought a mattress to the scene for him to land on.

The officer who ordered the shooting later committed suicide.

The city Law Department says that it has not yet received the suit. But, the department says it involves a very tragic case and it will review the legal papers upon receipt.
