NEW YORK - A man wielding a machete was arrested Thursday morning after getting into a fight with a stranger on the Upper West Side.

Police say the fight, caught on video on Broadway near 94th Street, started after a man showed another man a magazine clip from a pistol.

The attacker then chased the 35-year-old victim with a machete.

The victim used a garbage can to defend himself as several bystanders look on.

Police say 40-year-old Lewis Roman was eventually pulled over and taken into custody.

The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
