Crews will be working overnight to fix a water main break that flooded streets in the Bronx and left hundreds without water.

Problems started around noon Monday at East 157th Street and Brook Avenue in Melrose.

The break is affecting around 250 units at a nearby apartment building.

Residents say their water may be back Tuesday.

They are trying to cope as best they can.

"It's definitely an inconvenience," said one resident. "I mean, we all work. We have families. We have kids. You know? Not sure what tomorrow will be like if we have no water."

"It's not pleasant," said another. "You know, you have a family. Like I said, you got to get ready to go to work. How? Now I have to inconvenience my family more now."

There is no word yet on what caused the break.
