The Federal Aviation Adminstration is investigating after one plane clipped another at John F. Kennedy International Airport Friday.
The agency says a Delta Air Lines 767 was pushing back from a gate when its wing hit the tail section of another 767.
Reports say one of the planes was bound for Turkey with about 200 people on board.
No injuries were reported.
The planes were not communicating with air traffic control at the time of the accident.
The FAA says regular airport operations were not affected.
