The Brooklyn Cyclones opened the 2012 season at MCU Park in Coney Island on Monday with a 2-0 win over the Staten Island Yankees.

The Cyclones took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, scoring on a walk and sacrifice fly for all the offense they would need.

The game brought out fans young and old with high hopes for the season.
